How to add templates to your file

I usually get the templates from the net and save as a model, but if you want to add to your side bar I can tell you how. For office 2007, open the template and click on the DESIGN tab. In the themes group click the down arrows so that you can view the galery of themes. Then, you just have to click on "save current theme". That's all. =D

Here I have something that took me a long time to figure out how to do. But I didn't give up and I was very happy with the result! The image shows the screen in the presentaion mode. Texts are shown after you click the numbers on the left. If you want to see text 5, click number 5, if you want text in 9, click 9 and so on (well, I know it's obvious, but that's how it works). This is particularly good because the students decide the order the text will be shown, not the pre-established sequence of clicks. In my first activity with this I typed ten different definitions for the same object and Ss had to guess what the object was. The sooner they answered, the more points they got. It was really nice! :D But you can use your creativity to do different activities using the same model. I will tell here how I did this, step by step. (But if you are running out of time I can send you the model ;D)

Let's Get Started

The first thing I want to share is how to make your presentations look nicer. Avoid those blank standard backgrounds on your work. You can find lots of free themed templates on the net. I use google to search for them. "free powerpoint templates" or maybe "free (theme) powerpoint templates". Download, save and hands on! I know it seems pretty basic but it will make a huge difference. =D

Powerpoint has changed my life as a teacher!

Since I've started using PowerPoint Templates in my EFL / ESL classes, my life as a teacher became much easier. =D. That's why I decided to create this blog, a space where I can not only share my experience with this fantastic tool, but also get new ideas from my guests.
Welcome and let's keep in touch!
